Question from an ENTJ Healing-Arts Therapist: Why does every day seem like “Groundhog Day?”

Answer: It’s an interesting question in today’s Covid-19 world… First of all, our lives are shut down by the rules, regulations, and requirements of living in a pandemic. If your business is still open, I would imagine that everyone coming in is experiencing depression and wanting to “feel better.” During these times, there is nothing that can lift your customers’ spirits for the long-term. I would guess that treatments would “fix” their bodies for the short-term but until the pandemic abates and things get back to some sort of normalcy, there is no resolution.

For NTs, there is a need to see change with the goal of making things better. For ENTJs, I would imagine that they have a need for new projects to be accomplished. With the world shut down, there isn’t a lot of movement that is happening so the days can seem very routine with the tasks involved becoming very rote and repetitive, creating the “Groundhog Day” effect.

I would suggest finding something new to research; a new idea to pursue. It is a good time for reflection rather than action; something to keep your mind active. Also, trying something new as an exercise routine might be helpful. With the increased number of YouTube and Zoom presentations, many new ways are out there to soothe your body and soul. Taking care of yourself can better prepare you for taking care of others.
